PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1651 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ACCEPTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PREPARED FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES APPLI- CATION FILED UNDER UP-77-14. WHEREAS, the Office of the State Architect submitted drawings for construction of an office to serve as a site for the Department of Motor Vehicles; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with this project, the Department of General Services prepared an environmental impact report; and WHEREAS, a public hearing to review this report was held by the Planning Commission on July 12, 1978, when all pertinent information was considered; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission makes a finding of significant impact which can be mitigated by implementing the following conditions: 1. Proper placement of all driveways or median left-turn pockets at the project site in order to obtain adequate site distance for all drivers, to allow drivers adequate weaving distance to get into proper lanes on West Las Positas Boulevard, and to eliminate hazardous traffic movements such as U-turns on West Las Positas Boulevard. 2. Conduct driver tests on,HOpyard Road only during periods of low traffic volumes. 3. Construct the office building to resist earthquake motion, liquefaction (if any), differential settlement and damage from expansive soils. Section 2. The Planning Commission accepts the environmental impact report prepared for this project subject to the mitigation measures noted in Section 1. above. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
