PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1657 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON ACCEPTING A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE PROJECT FILED UNDER RZ-78-5, HARRIS REALTY. <br />WHEREAS, Harris Realty filed a rezoning application for a 1.1 acre <br />parcel of land located at the northwest corner of Johnson <br />Industrial Drive and Hopyard Road, from the I-G (General <br />Industrial) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District, or any other zoning district consistent with the <br />General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this project, an Initial Study was <br />done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br />Procedures adopted by the City of Pleasanton by Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on this project on July 12, 1978, <br />when all pertinent information was submitted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission makes the finding that the <br />project will have significant adverse impacts on the environ- <br />ment but that it can qualify for a Negative Declaration, if <br />it is mitigated by the following condition: "That because <br />of potential traffic hazards associated with development <br />on the subject site, no vehicular access shall be allowed <br />between the property and Hopyard Road and a right-turn lane <br />from Hopyard Road into Johnson Industrial Drive shall be <br />provided as part of any development on the site." <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 12th day of July, 1978, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Leppert, Getty, Wilson and <br />Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: Secretary Harris <br />
