CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-304 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE JUNE 3, 1986 <br /> SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 4, 1986, the City Council called a special <br /> election to be held on June 3, 1986 pertaining to an <br /> initiative ordinance concerning approval of the <br /> development of low income senior citizen housing and <br /> placed on the ballot the following measure known as <br /> Measure J; <br /> <br /> Measure J: Shall the ordinance approving construction <br /> of up to 220 low-income senior citizen housing units be <br /> adopted? <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, also on March 4, 1986, the City Council called a special <br /> election to be held on June 3, 1986 pertaining to an <br /> initiative ordinance pertaining to the direct election <br /> of the Mayor, the Mayor's term of office and the Mayor's <br /> compensation and placed on the ballot the following <br /> three measures known as Measure K, L, M: <br /> <br /> Measure K: Shall the electors elect a mayor and four <br /> city councilmembers? <br /> <br /> Measure L: Shall the term of office of mayor be two <br /> years? <br /> <br /> Measure M: Shall the compensation for the office of <br /> mayor be set by ordinance provided that the mayor,s <br /> total compensation shall not exceed $100.00 per month <br /> more than the compensation set by other city <br /> councilmembers? <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council consolidated the special elections with <br /> the statewide primary election to be held on June 3, <br /> 1986 in accordance with Section 23314 of the Election <br /> Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters canvassed the <br /> returns of all votes cast in the election (Exhibit A) <br /> and has certified the results of the vote on each of the <br /> measures to be as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
