PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1671 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CHANGING THE <br />STREET NAME OF JOHNSON INDUSTRIAL DRIVE TO JOHNSON <br />DRIVE AND OF CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF SANTA RITA <br />ROAD TO MAIN STREET. <br />WHEREAS, Jim Stratton of Vorelco of California has requested that the <br />street name of Johnson Industrial Drive be changed to Johnson <br />Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Brad Hirst and Chris Beratlis have requested that the street <br />name of Santa Rita Road from the Arroyo del Valle bridge to <br />the Western Pacific Railroad tracks be changed to Main Street; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed these requests; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the entire length <br />of Santa Rita Road-Main Street should have a common name. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. That the City Council be apprised that the Planning <br />Commission recommends approval of changing the name of <br />Johnson Industrial Drive to Johnson Drive. <br />Section 2. That the City Council be apprised that the Planning <br />Commission recommends approval of changing the street name <br />of Santa Rita Road to Main Street for its entire length. <br />Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 9th day of August, 1978, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Leppert, Wilson and Acting Chairman Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Getty and Chairman Jamieson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: Secretary Harris <br />DATE: August 9, 1978 <br />ATTEST: <br />Robert J.
