CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-293 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK <br /> DISTRICT APPROVE A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE NORTHERN <br /> CALIFORNIA OUTBOARD MOTOR ASSOCIATION FOR ONE WEEKEND IN <br /> OCTOBER 1986 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the East Bay Regional Park District has permitted <br /> outboard motor races to be held at Shadow Cliff Regional <br /> Park one weekend per year for the past five years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when the California Outboard Motor Association applied <br /> for a permit to hold their annual boat races in Shadow <br /> Cliffs for May 3rd and 4th, 1986, the East Bay Regional <br /> Park District contacted City staff for their input; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 17, 1986, the Council reviewed <br /> the report (SR 86:255) from the director of Parks and <br /> Community Services regarding the impact of the annual <br /> boat race and recommendations from the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council recommends that the East Bay <br /> Regional Park District approve a special use permit for <br /> the Northern California Outboard Motor Association for <br /> one weekend in October, 1986, subject to the-following <br /> conditions: <br /> <br /> a. That motorboat use be restricted to the hours of <br /> 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and <br /> <br /> b. That East Bay Regional Park District not accept or <br /> consider any additional applications for use of <br /> Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area for power <br /> boat activities or events until the Resource <br /> Analysis and the Master Plan for the park is <br /> completed; and <br /> <br /> c. That any consideration for permitting power boat <br /> use of Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area be <br /> limited to one weekend per year and to the hours of <br /> 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
