PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1508 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DENYING A REQUEST OF <br />TRI-CITIES AMBULANCE, INC., TO MAINTAIN AN <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE FROM A RESIDENCE AT 6264 <br />GUYSON COURT. <br />WHEREAS, Tri-Cities Ambulance, Inc., filed a home occupation <br />application to maintain an ambulance service from a <br />residence at 6264 Guyson Court; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6500 (Single Family <br />Residential) District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 13, 1977, when <br />pertinent maps, drawings, documents and testimony <br />were received by the Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, it was brought out during the public hearing, that <br />large numbers of residents on Guyson Court were <br />extremely dissatisfied with the manner in which <br />the service allegedly is being conducted; e.g. <br />creating traffic hazards, and parking problems <br />on the street and causing detrimental effects to <br />property values because of a business being conducted <br />in a residential neighborhood, which is visibly <br />apparent from the exterior of the site; and <br />WHEREAS, it was brought out during the proceedings that the <br />service has been in operation at the address since <br />December, 1976 without a home occupation permit; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Jamieson <br />offered a resolution to deny the use but to allow the <br />applicant 30-45 days to vacate the premises; and <br />WHEREAS, Chairman Butler seconded by Commissioner Doherty, <br />amended that resolution to allow the applicant <br />90 days to vacate the premises; and <br />WHEREAS, the roll call vote on that amended resolution svgs`: <br />Commissioners Jamieson and Wood voting no and Com- <br />missioners Doherty, Shepherd and Chairman Butler voting <br />in favor of extending the period for relocating the <br />business. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission denies the home occupation <br />
