PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1517 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING APPLICATION UP-77-5, A REQUEST <br />FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR MISS PENNY'S. <br />WHEREAS, Scott Francis, on behalf of Miss Penny's, Inc., has filed <br />for a conditional use permit to operate a Facility for <br />gymnastics, ballet, jazz and exercise classes in the Tennis <br />Town building at 7090 Johnson Industrial Drive; zoning for <br />the property being I-G (General Industrial) District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing to review this request was held on May 18, <br />1977, when all pertinent documents, testimony, maps and <br />drawings were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found: <br />A. That because of the nature of the proposed use, the <br />- location of the conditional use is in accord with the <br />objectives of this chapter and the purposes of the <br />district in which the site is located. <br />B. That the proposed location of the conditional use and <br />conditions under which it would be operated or main- <br />tained will not be detrimental to the public health, <br />safety or welfare or materially injurious to the pro- <br />perties or improvements in the vicinity. <br />C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission approves UP-77-5, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That Miss Penny's, Inc., occupy only the 50' X 100' <br />room in the northwestern corner of the Tennis Town <br />building and that enrollment be limited to a maximum <br />of 500 persons. <br />2. That parking spaces be installed as shown on the site <br />plan, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Department, <br />except for those shown along the western side of the <br />building and "future development parcel;" includes re- <br />striping all spaces on the eastern side of the site <br />which are now faded. <br />-1- <br />
