PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1521 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON INITIATING AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO <br />ALLOW NURSERIES AND GARDEN CENTERS IN THE INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, a request has been received from Casa Verde Garden Center <br />to expand the uses he wishes to establish for his facility <br />at 5511 Sunol Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on May 18, 1977, reviewed a report <br />which defined the types of uses generally associated with <br />nurseries and the types of uses generally associated with <br />garden centers; and <br />WHEREAS, after studying all available data, the Planning Commission <br />determined that the uses associated with a garden center <br />would be appropriate for the Industrial Park and General <br />Industrial Districts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />"- Section 1. The Planning Commission initiates an ordinance amendment <br />to make garden centers a conditionally allowed use in the <br />Industrial Park and General Industrial District, and to make <br />appropriate changes to Chapter 2, Title II with regard to <br />garden centers and nurseries. <br />Section 2.
