PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1522 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A MASTER PLAN FOR FUTURE DEVELOP- MENT OF THE CASA VERDE GARDEN CENTER AT 5511 SUNOL BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, Larry Billings applied for and received a conditional use permit to locate the Casa Verde Garden Center at 5511 Sunol Boulevard; and WHEREAS, at the time approval was granted for said use within the I-P (Industrial Park) District, it was stipulated that the uses occurring on the property would be related strictly to the types of uses generally associated with a nursery; and WHEREAS, on March 19, 1977, the Planning Commission reviewed a re- quest from Mr. Billings to establish a swimming pool supply and service business and made the finding that the business would be similar enough to a nursery business as to be com- patible with the existing business; and WHEREAS, at that time the Planning Commission directed Mr. Billings to prepare a master plan for the nursery property for their review and approval; and WHEREAS, on May 18, 1977, the Planning Commission reviewed said master plan in conjunction with a possible ordinance amend- ment to expand the types of uses generally associated with a garden center; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated an ordinance amendment which would expand the uses within a garden center, thus qualifying the types of uses shown on the master plan. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission approves the overall master plan for Casa Verde Garden Center per Exhibit A on file in the Planning Department conditional upon the proposed ordinance expanding the uses in "garden centers" being enacted by the City Council with substantially the same uses as proposed by this Commission. -1-
