PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1523
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION WILL BE FILED FOR MS-77-5.
WHEREAS, Castlewood Enterprises filed for a minor subdivision to
create four lots on 18.6 acres located at the southeast
corner of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue, zoning for the
property being R-1-6500 (Single Family) District; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an Initial Study for the
proposed amendment has been conducted; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on May 18, 1977, reviewed the
potential environmental impacts associated with this pro-
posed subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this
matter on May 18, 1977, at which time an opportunity was
given to hear public testimony; and
WHEREAS, the applicant requested deletion of two recommended mitiga-
tion measures requiring approval of exterior design of the
homes; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission deleted the proposed mitigation
measure as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the proposed sub-
division could not have a significant effect on the en-
vironment if the following mitigation measures are taken.
1) Include in the future residences the following water
conservation devices:
a) low-flush water closets;
b) flow-reducing shower heads;
c) flow-reducing interior faucet attachments
(aerators);
d) insulation of hot water lines;
2) Require building setbacks of at least 40 feet from
the Arroyo de la Laguna;
-1-
