PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 1543 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE PROPOSED PROJECT FILED UNDER RZ-77-6 WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFICANT ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. WHEREAS, John Edgren, Manuel Delis and Valley Bank have applied for a rezoning application to rezone approximately 3.1 acres of land located at the southwest corner of Main Street and Bernal Avenue and including all of those properties lying between the City Hall and Main Street, and between Bernal Avenue and the Pleasanton School District Administration Building, from the O (Office) District and the P (Public and institutional) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) District; and "- WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment in the form of an initial study for the project has been conducted; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter at its August 10, 1977, meeting and an opportunity was given to hear public testimony on the potential environmental impact of the project and no public testimony was given; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of projects in preparation of environmental reports as they pertained to the requirements for negative declarations and environmental reports to determine if a negative declaration is appropriate and what mitigation measures must be under- taken to insure that the project will not have a significant effect upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the project will not have a significant adverse effect on the environment and a negative declaration is the appropriate environmental docu- ment to be prepared for this project.
