PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1545 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE PROPOSED <br />REZONING FILED UNDER RZ-77-7, WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFI- <br />CANT IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT, <br />WHEREAS, Vorelco of California, has applied for an application to <br />rezone approximately 25.7 acres of land located on Johnson <br />Industrial Drive at the intersection of I-580 and I-680 <br />from the I-G, 3 acre District to the I-G, 40,000 District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment <br />in the form of an initial study for the project has been <br />conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter <br />at its August 10, 1977, meeting and an opportunity was <br />given to hear public testimony on the potential environmental <br />impact of the rezoning and no public testimony was given. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the <br />City's guidelines and processing procedures for the evalu- <br />ation of projects in preparation of environmental reports <br />as they pertain to the requirement for negative declarations <br />and environemntal impact reports to determine if a negative <br />declaration is appropriate and what mitigation measures, if <br />any, must be undertaken to insure that the rezoning will <br />not have a significant effect upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, The Planning Commission finds that the rezoning will not <br />have a significant adverse effect on the environment and a <br />negative declaration is the appropriate environmental document <br />to be prepared for this project. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />-1- <br />
