PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 1547
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT FILED UNDER GP-77-2, WILL NOT HAVE A SIGNIFI-
CANT IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
WHEREAS, Morrison Homes has filed for a general plan amendment to
change the land use designation of an approximately 10-acre
site located between Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue imme-
diately southeast of the Alpha Beta Shopping Center from
high density residential to medium density residential and
to make certain changes to the test of the land use element
of the General Plan as it pertains to residential density;
and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with this review an environmental assessment
of the amendment in the form of an intial study has been
conducted; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this ap-
plication at its August 10, 1977, meeting and an opportunity
was given to hear public testimony on the potential environ-
mental impact of the project and no public testimony was
given.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's
guidelines and processing procedures for the evaluation of
project in preparation of environmental reports as they per-
tain to the requirements for negative declarations and en-
vironmental reports to determine if a negative declaration
is appropriate and what mitigation measures must be under-
taken to insure that the project will not have a significant
effect upon the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the proposed amendment
will not have a significant adverse effect on the environ-
ment and a negative declaration is the appropriate environ-
mental document to be prepared for this project.
Section 2. This resolution shall became effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.
