PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1550 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING A NAME CHANGE <br />FOR SANTA RITA ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering Services submitted a request <br />to the Planning Commission dated June 27, 1977 to: <br />1. Change the name of Tassajara Road between Santa Rita <br />Road and .Route 580 to Santa Rita Road. <br />2. Change the name of Santa Rita Road between Tassajara <br />Road and its northerly terminus to Old Santa Rita Road; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed by the Planning Commission on <br />August 10, 1977; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission concurred that renaming that <br />portion of Santa Rita Road (recently annexed to the City) <br />which runs between Tassajara Road and its northerly terminus <br />to Old Santa Rita Road, and renaming Tassajara Road between <br />Santa Rita Road and Route I-580 to Santa-Rita Road, would <br />clarify directions for motorists and pedestrians. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council <br />adoption of the name changes as requested in the June 27, <br />1977, memorandum from the Director of Engineering Services, <br />and that street signs so identifying the street be erected <br />as soon as possible. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 10th day of August, 1977, by the following <br />vote: <br />
