CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-283 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY <br /> 14.6 ACRES IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY WEST LAS POSITAS <br /> BOULEVARD, A PORTION OF THE FORMER RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, AND THE <br /> RIGHT-OF-WAY OF THE STONERIDGE DRIVE EXTENSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 17, 1986, the City Council <br /> received a proposed negative declaration for a General <br /> Plan Land Use Element amendment of the designation of <br /> approximately 14.6 acres from Industrial/Commercial and <br /> Offices and Public Health and Safety to High Density <br /> Residential and rezoning the area from PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br /> to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density <br /> Residential District, said site located generally in the <br /> area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of <br /> the former railroad right-of-way of the Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company, and the right-of-way of the <br /> Stoneridge Drive extension; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br /> Study dated May 7, 1986 and received the recommendations <br /> of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br /> public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br /> environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br /> amendment and rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br /> accordance with the applicable state and local <br /> guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br /> Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br /> amendment and rezoning would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for a General Plan <br /> Land Use Element amendment of the designation of <br /> approximately 14.6 acres from Industrial/Commercial and <br /> Offices and Public Health and Safety to High Density <br /> Residential and rezoning the area from PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br /> to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density <br /> <br /> <br />
