CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-282 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GP-86-1) AND REZONING (PUD-86-5) <br /> OF AN APPROXIMATELY 10.5 ACRE SITE BOUNDED BY OWENS <br /> DRIVE, WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD, A PORTION OF THE <br /> FORMER RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, AND TASSAJARA CREEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 17, 1986, the City Council <br /> received a proposed negative declaration for an <br /> amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element <br /> designation from "Commercial and Offices" and "Public <br /> Health and Safety" to "High Density Residential" and for <br /> rezoning from "PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Office <br /> District" to the "PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High <br /> Density Residential District" of an approximately 10.5 <br /> acre site located generally in the area bounded by Owens <br /> Drive, West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of the <br /> former railroad right-of-way of the Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company, and Tassajara Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br /> Study dated May 7, 1986 and received the recommendations <br /> of the staff and Planning Commission;.and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br /> public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br /> environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br /> amendment and rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br /> accordance with the applicable state and local <br /> guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br /> Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br /> amendment and rezoning would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for an amendment to <br /> the General Plan Land Use Element designation from <br /> "Commercial and Offices" and "Public Health and Safety" <br /> to "High Density Residential" and for rezoning from "PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development)-Office District" to the "PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br /> District" of an approximately 10.5 acre site located <br /> generally in the area bounded by Owens Drive, West Las <br /> <br /> <br />
