§2-9.18 Procedure £or Permit. An application under §2-9.17 <br />shall be made in writing and spell out in detail the <br />proposed alteration. Plans and drawings submitted <br />pursuant to Article 19 of this Chapter may be used in <br />total or partial satisfaction of this requirement. <br />§2-2.1g Public Hearing. The Planning Commission shall <br />hold a public hearing on any application under §2-9.18, <br />said hearing to be scheduled consistent with the pro- <br />visions of §2-5.08. <br />§2-9.20 Inducements. The Planning Commission may grant <br />to an applicant variances consistent with the provisions <br />of Article 26 of this Chapter and may, upon the recom- <br />mendation of the Building Official, waive or modify <br />provisions of the building, electrical, plumbing or <br />heating and ventilating codes if to do so will not be <br />inconsistent with the public health, safety and general <br />welfare of the residents of the City of Pleasanton and <br />will serve to preserve and protect a historical land- <br />mark hereunder. <br />§2-9.21 Demolition of an application under §2-9.18 is for <br />demolition for a historical landmark hereunder and if <br />application of the provisions of §2-9.20 is not possible <br />or is to no avail, the Planning Commission may suspend, <br />for up to 90 days, the granting of permits requisite <br />to demolition in order to allow consideration by the <br />City of acquisition by City or any other public or <br />private entity of the landmark for the purpose of pre- <br />servation thereof. <br />§2-9.22 Action on Application. The Planning Commission <br />may grant, deny or modify the application. In the <br />latter two instances the applicant may file amended <br />drawings and plans. <br />§2-9.23 Registration with State. The City Council or <br />Historical Landmark Advisory Committee may register <br />with the appropriate state agency a landmark or site <br />which has historical significance and where registration <br />would assist in preservation thereof. <br />§2-9.24 Appeal.
