Ice Arena Vehicular Circulation
The main entry point to the proposed Ice Arena would be from 1580
to EI Charro Road and Auto Mall Place. This access drive would be one
lane in each direction with a large landscaped median to slow traffic and
create a pleasant entry experience. The master plan capitalizes on the
agreement between the City and SPA to pave and landscape the EVA.
This roadway, which serves as the EVA to Stoneridge Drive, would lead
directly into the proposed ice arena parking lot and drop-off area. The
entry drive to the facility would not connect to Stoneridge Drive. The
drop-off area, at the front of the arena, and near the main entry, allows
for approximately 4-5 cars at a time. If the County and City, in a future
decision, determine that Stoneridge Drive should be extended to EI
Charro, the entrance to the ice facility parking could be moved to align
with the CLC entry road.
Ice Arena Parkina
Paved Parkin
This paved parking lot would accommodate
approximately 215 cars. During final design, the
number of spaces could increase or decrease slightly
to accommodate the needs of the arena and the City.
Unpaved (Grass Pave) Parking
The unpaved parking is a nearly 2.5 -acre grass
overflow parking lot which would provide 145
additional parking spaces for peak use and special
events, while keeping the amount of paved and
impermeable surfaces to a minimum. The structural
material beneath the grass would be able to support
the load of emergency vehicles and automobiles.
