Trail Head Staging Area
A trail head staging area at the Community Park parking lot
would include benches, bike racks, a drinking fountain, and
shade structure.
Arroyo Mocho Overlooks
Two creekside overlooks would provide park and trail users
the opportunity to pull off the path, rest, and enjoy the
Arroyo Mocho. The overlooks would be designed following
consultation with the Zone 7 Flood Control District.
Fish Ladder Viewins
The creek overlook at the eastern-most end of
the park is located directly above a fish ladder.
During peak flow, park users may be afforded the
opportunity to observe the fish working their way
upstream.
Central Overlook
The eastern-most overlook would be located mid-
wayalong the park edge, giving trail and park users a
second resting and viewing area.
Native Tree Planting
An important part of the Staples Ranch Master Plan includes
the planting of native trees along the Regional Trail corridor.
These trees are intended to enhance the creek habitat and
connect trail and park users to their natural surroundings.
