Landscaping <br />The park entry drive would be lined with street trees and would <br />run parallel to the Arroyo Mocho. The landscaping would serve to <br />soften the fa4ade of the ice arena, delineate the roadway, and create <br />an enjoyable entry experience to the park. The entry feature and <br />monument area would feature large trees, a substantial planting zone <br />and an attractive sign. <br />Parkina <br />Parking for the Community Park would be located on the east side of the <br />proposed ice arena, at the end of the park's access drive. This paved lot <br />would provide convenient access to the park's plaza, restroom, children's <br />playground, picnic areas, bicycle kiosk, and trail head staging area. The <br />parking lot would be designated for Community Park users only, and is <br />not intended to provide parking for the ice arena. The current design <br />provides for 36 spaces, including parking spaces for the disabled. During <br />final design, the number of spaces could increase or decrease slightly to <br />accommodate the needs of the park and the constraints of the site. <br />Landscaping <br />Careful attention would be paid to landscaping the Community Park <br />parking lot in a way that creates an aesthetically pleasing environment, <br />while also cooling the surface and providing shade for parked vehicles. <br />It is also intended that the landscaping add supplemental softening <br />of the facade of the proposed ice arena, immediately adjacent to the <br />parking lot. <br />Bus Stomas <br />The Staples Ranch Community Park Master Plan provides for two transit <br />stops on Stoneridge Drive. Each transit stop could feature a bus shelter, <br />pull-out area for the buses, and convenient and safe pedestrian access <br />to and from the park. <br /> <br />
