IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 148 <br />URGING SELECTION OF SUITABLE POST OFFICE <br />SITE FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the present Post Office Building and location is <br />not adequate to serve the people of the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has by Ordinance No. 309 <br />adopted April 18, 1960 established zones and recommended <br />standards for such governmental facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, said standards include off-street parking, loading <br />and similar facilities and traffic problems in connection with <br />post offices; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1) The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton does <br />hereby recommend that the United States Government choose a new <br />Post Office site for Pleasanton in the expanded business district, <br />in keeping with the 'Tcentral commercial core" concept of the <br />master plan. <br />2) The decision be made as soon as humanly possible, to <br />allow an early construction date. <br />3) That adequate land be obtained to provide for expansion <br />of facilities-as the City grows. <br />4) Copies of this Resolution will be sent to all interested <br />agencies and persons. <br />Dated: May 18, 1961. __ __ ~'~;l <br />~~U `}~sd~--- <br />a an <br />ATTEST: <br />U <br />
