CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-245 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FORMATION OF PLEASANTON LINK INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to take advantage of the reduced postal rates <br /> for nonprofit corporations, local recreation agencies <br /> have created affiliated nonprofit organizations to serve <br /> as a facilitator for disseminating fliers, programs <br /> registration information, job announcements, community <br /> referral information and quarterly program brochures; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Parks and Community Services Department <br /> in conjunction with the Assistant City Attorney have <br /> developed a proposal for a nonprofit association <br /> entitled "Pleasanton Link Inc." for the above stated <br /> purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 3, 1986, the City Council <br /> reviewed a report (SR 86:229) regarding the proposed <br /> nonprofit corporation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves formation of the nonprofit corporation, <br /> Pleasanton Link Inc. for purposes of disseminating <br /> fliers, programs registration information, job <br /> announcements, community referral information and <br /> quarterly program brochures and any other pertinent <br /> Department mailers at the nonprofit postal rate. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Mayor and appropriate City officials <br /> to execute all appropriate documents. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
