CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-225 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO VALLEY SLURRY <br /> SEAL COMPANY, FOR SLURRY SEALING ON VARIOUS CITY <br /> STREETS, PROJECT NO. 86-21 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for slurry <br /> sealing on various City streets, Project No. 86-21; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 20, 1986; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company, in the amount of <br /> $49,329.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the-Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company, in the amount <br /> of $49,329.00, for slurry sealing on various city <br /> streets, Project No. 86-21, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Valley Slurry Seal Company for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Valley Avenue (from Tulancingo Bridge to the south of <br /> Hansen Drive) and Big Bend Court are added to the <br /> contract, which will increase the contract amount to <br /> $54,478.00. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
