CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-211 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF PUBLIC STORAGE, <br /> INC. FOR REZONING FROM "CS (COMMERCIAL SERVICE)" <br /> DISTRICT TO "PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT)-COMMERCIAL" <br /> DISTRICT AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR A FOUR <br /> BUILDING, 84,000 SQ. FT. MINI-STORAGE FACILITY ON <br /> APPROXIMATELY 1.45 ACRES LOCATED AT 3744 AND 3768 OLD <br /> SANTA RITA ROAD (PUD-86-3) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc. applied for rezoning from the "CS <br /> (Commercial Service)" District to the "PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Commercial" District and development plan <br /> approval for a four building, 84,000 sq. ft. <br /> mini-storage facility on approximately 1.45 acres <br /> located at 3744 and 3768 Old Santa Rita Road (PUD-86-3); <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating no <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment, a <br /> negative declaration was adopted by Council on May 6, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 6, 1986 at which time <br /> the applicant and public were given the opportunity to <br /> present evidence regarding this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council expressed concern that there were too many <br /> mini-storage units in the area already; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the application of Public Storage, Inc. for <br /> rezoning from the "CS (Commercial Service)" District to <br /> the "PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial" District <br /> and development plan approval for a four building, <br /> 84,000 sq. ft. mini-storage facility on approximately <br /> 1.45 acres located at 3744 and 3768 Old Santa Rita Road <br /> (PUD-86-3). <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
