If discussion is required, that particular item will be removed from the consent <br />calendar and will be considered separately. <br />Administrative Services <br />Approve regular meeting minutes of May 6, 2008 <br />2. Adopt a resolution calling and giving notice of the holding of a general municipal election to be <br />held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, for the election of a mayor and two members of the city <br />council and requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda to consolidate the <br />election; and adopt a resolution adopting regulations for candidates for elective office <br />pertaining to candidate statements <br />City Attorney <br />3. Authorize the Mayor to send a letter of support and/or opposition to pending state legislation <br />concerning (a) plastic bottle recycling [support], (b) binding arbitration for contract disputes <br />[oppose], (c) public contracting requirements [oppose], (d) clarifying density bonus law <br />[support] <br />City Manager <br />4. Adopt a resolution accepting the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) <br />National Call to Action for Affordable Housing through Regulatory Reform <br />5. Approve the Youth Master Plan Implementation Committee Appointments for 2008-09 <br />Community Development <br />6. Accept or appeal actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />7. Second reading of Ordinance No. 1978 approving the application Steven and Laura Spencer <br />for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) to reduce the rear <br />and side yard setbacks for a swimming pool at the property located at 8031 Oak Creek Drive <br />
