CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-196 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING PARCEL AS SURPLUS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City owns a small parcel of land (approximately <br /> 3,660 square feet) located 125 feet east of the <br /> intersection of Whiting and Abbie Streets, which is a <br /> parcel which was acquired for the extension of Abbie <br /> Street which is no longer required to be constructed; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after discussion with City staff and adjacent property <br /> owners, it has been determined that the property can be <br /> offered for sale; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Declares the parcel of land (approximately 3,660 <br /> square feet) located 125 feet east of the intersection <br /> of Whiting and Abbie Street as surplus. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City determines that the market value for the <br /> property is $9,770.00. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City shall notify all agencies required by law to <br /> be given first opportunity to purchase surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City finds that the most appropriate development <br /> pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the <br /> adjacent parcel to the north, provided that the owner of <br /> the adjacent parcel is willing to pay the fair market <br /> value as stated above. <br /> <br />Section 5: If no agency wishes to purchase the property, the <br /> City Manager is authorized to sell to the adjacent <br /> property owner the subject property. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
