CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-166 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE APRIL 8, <br /> 1986 SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 7, 1986 the City Council called a special <br /> election to be held on April 8, 1986, pertaining to an <br /> initiative ordinance regarding Proposition 4 revenues <br /> and related matters, and placed on the ballot the fol- <br /> lowing measure known as Measure B: <br /> <br /> "MEASURE B: Shall the ordinance changing the appropria- <br /> tion limit and providing for public improvement project <br /> including a new library and the Valley Avenue extension <br /> be adopted?" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council contracted with the Alameda County <br /> Registrar of Voters to conduct the special election; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voter's canvass of the returns of all <br /> votes cast in the special election (Exhibit A attached) <br /> certifies the results of the vote on Measure B to be as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> A. The total number of ballots cast is 5,196. <br /> <br /> B. The number of votes cast at each precinct for <br /> and against Measure B is shown in Exhibit B <br /> attached hereto and incorporated by this <br /> reference. <br /> <br /> C. The total number of votes cast for and against <br /> Measure is: <br /> Yes 4,500 <br /> No 637 <br /> Total Votes Cast 5,196 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOL- <br />VES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Measure B passes by the vote: Yes 4,500 - No 637. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED on the 15th day of April 1986 by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
