CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-152 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO PLEASANTON <br /> ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TWO <br /> SANITARY SEWER PUMP HOUSES, PROJECT NO. 85-27 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of two sanitary sewer pump houses on <br /> Arlington Drive south of Matthew Court and Serpentine <br /> Lane in Valley Business Park, Project No. 85-27; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 15, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Pleasanton Engineering Contractors, in the <br /> amount of $19,950.00 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Pleasanton Engineering <br /> Contractors be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Pleasanton Engineering Contractors, in <br /> the amount of $19,950.00, for construction of two <br /> sanitary sewer pump houses, Project No. 85-17, is hereby <br /> accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible <br /> bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Pleasanton Engineering Contractors for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes appropriation of an additional $7,000 <br /> which includes 10% contingency for a total budget of <br /> $22,000 for the above project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
