CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-149 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING USE OF HCD FUNDS FOR PLEASANTON <br /> GARDENS REPAIRS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 18, 1986, an unusually severe storm caused <br /> flood damage to Pleasanton Gardens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Gardens has applied for and been denied <br /> emergency funding from state and federal agencies due to <br /> their business status; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funds provided by the City of Pleasanton to cover damage <br /> costs will allow Pleasanton Gardens to meet financial <br /> commitments without increasing rents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the HCD Urban County Technical Advisory Committee is in <br /> support of allowing the City of Pleasanton to utilize a <br /> $5,000 advance on its 1986-87 HCD funds to pay the first <br /> $5,000 of damage costs for Pleasanton Gardens repair and <br /> granting up to a $5,000 grant from HCD contingency funds <br /> to cover the remainder of the damage costs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 15, 1986, the City Council <br /> reviewed the report (SR 86:152) of the Director of <br /> Planning and Community Development regarding the funding <br /> of the Pleasanton Gardens repairs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the use of HCD funds for Pleasanton Gardens <br /> repairs; specifically $5,000 of the projected balance <br /> remaining from the Aquatic Center project and $5,000 to <br /> be obtained from the HCD contingency fund. <br /> <br /> <br />
