CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-121 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO DAVEY TREE <br /> SURGERY COMPANY, FOR STREET TREE PRUNING AND REMOVAL, <br /> PROJECT NO. 86-17 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for street <br /> tree pruning and removal, Project No. 86-17; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 1, 1986; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company, in the amount of <br /> $73.50 per hour was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company, in the amount <br /> of $73.50 per hour, for street tree pruning and removal, <br /> Project No. 86-17, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
