CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-119 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO COLLISHAW <br /> CONSTRUCTION, FOR PLEASANTON TENNIS AND COMMUNITY PARK, <br /> PROJECT NO. 86-02 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of the Pleasanton Tennis and community <br /> Park, Project No. 86-02; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> presented his report (SR 86:119) to the City Council on <br /> April 1, 1986 regarding the bids presented and the <br /> funding of the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low base bid was submitted by RMT Landscape <br /> Contractors, Inc., however the bid was rejected due to <br /> the lack of one adequate bid bond and no document <br /> signature; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Collishaw Construction, in the amount of <br /> $507,498.15 (base bid) and $672,320.90 (total bid) was <br /> determined to be the lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Collishaw Construction be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Confirms the City Attorney's decision to reject RMT <br /> Landscape, Inc.'s bid proposal due to lack of proper <br /> signature and bid bond. <br /> <br />Section 2: The bid of Collishaw Construction of Santa Clara, CA, <br /> in the amount of $673,265.40, for construction of the <br /> Pleasanton Tennis and Community park, Project No. 86-02, <br /> is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 3: Amends the project budget to $865,000.00 through the <br /> use of existing Park Capital Improvement Funds, <br /> including delaying the Muirwood Park Improvement project <br /> from 1985-86 to 1986-87 fiscal year. <br /> <br /> <br />
