CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 86-112 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ALIGNMENT FOR THE BART LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON EXTENSION WHEREAS, on January 1, 1984, Council adopted Resolution No. 84-21 in support of the extension of BART to the Livermore-Amador Valley, further stating that the favored route is along the freeway median, and that the first phase be extended beyond the 1-580/I-680 interchange and include a Dublin/Stoneridge station and a Hacienda Drive station; and WHEREAS, on March 22, 1984, the BART Board of Directors adopted "A Preferred Route Alignment for a Livermore-Pleasanton Extension" which extends from the BART Bay Fair station to near 1-580/I-680 interchange and includes a Castro Valley station and a Dublin/Stoneridge station; and WHEREAS, the BART Board of Directors directed staff to proceed with a supplemental analysis for a preferred alignment extending to Livermore; and WHEREAS, Council has reviewed at its meeting of March 18, 1986 the final report of the BART "Livermore-Pleasanton Extension Study Supplemental Analysis;" and WHEREAS, the City of Livermore Council has adopted the freeway route as the preferred alignment through Livermore based on a review of the BART "Livermore-Pleasanton Extension Study Supplemental Analysis;" NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton strongly supports the extension of BART to the Livermore-Amador Valley as soon as possible. Section 2: The route most favored by the City of Pleasanton is along the freeway median through Pleasanton and Livermore. Section 3: It is the recommendation of the City Council that the first phase of the BART extension into the Valley be extended beyond the 1-580/I-680 interchange and that Phase I include two Pleasanton stations, i.e., at Dublin/Stoneridge and a station in the vicinity of the future Hacienda Drive interchange.
