CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-112 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ALIGNMENT FOR THE BART <br /> LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON EXTENSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 1, 1984, Council adopted Resolution No. 84-21 <br /> in support of the extension of BART to the <br /> Livermore-Amador Valley, further stating that the <br /> favored route is along the freeway median, and that the <br /> first phase be extended beyond the 1-580/I-680 <br /> interchange and include a Dublin/Stoneridge station and <br /> a Hacienda Drive station; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 22, 1984, the BART Board of Directors adopted <br /> "A Preferred Route Alignment for a Livermore-Pleasanton <br /> Extension" which extends from the BART Bay Fair station <br /> to near 1-580/I-680 interchange and includes a Castro <br /> Valley station and a Dublin/Stoneridge station; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BART Board of Directors directed staff to proceed <br /> with a supplemental analysis for a preferred alignment <br /> extending to Livermore; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council has reviewed at its meeting of March 18, 1986 <br /> the final report of the BART "Livermore-Pleasanton <br /> Extension Study Supplemental Analysis;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Livermore Council has adopted the freeway <br /> route as the preferred alignment through Livermore based <br /> on a review of the BART "Livermore-Pleasanton Extension <br /> Study Supplemental Analysis;" <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton strongly <br /> supports the extension of BART to the Livermore-Amador <br /> Valley as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Section 2: The route most favored by the City of Pleasanton is <br /> along the freeway median through Pleasanton and <br /> Livermore. <br /> <br />Section 3: It is the recommendation of the City Council that the <br /> first phase of the BART extension into the Valley be <br /> extended beyond the 1-580/I-680 interchange and that <br /> Phase I include two Pleasanton stations, i.e., at <br /> Dublin/Stoneridge and a station in the vicinity of the <br /> future Hacienda Drive interchange. <br /> <br /> <br />
