PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-57 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CASE <br />GP-87-3, APPLICATION OF PUBLIC STORAGE AND SOUTHERN <br />PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc./ Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company has applied to amend the Land Use Element <br />designation of the General Plan from "Public Health and <br />Safety" to "General and Limited Industrial" for a 1.47 <br />and 4.2 acre site located at the northwest and northeast <br />corners of the intersection of Valley Avenue (extension) <br />and Stanley Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 27, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for Case <br />GP-87-3; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated May 20, 1987 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held May 27, 1987, at <br />which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration for <br />GP-87-3, application of Public Storage, Inc./Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and Adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
