PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-58 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-87-3, PUBLIC <br />STORAGE, INC./SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION <br />WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc./ Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company has applied to amend the Land Use Element <br />designation of the General Plan from "Public Health and <br />Safety" to "General and Limited Industrial" for a 1.47 <br />and 4.2 acre site located at the northwest and northeast <br />corners of the intersection of Valley Avenue (extension) <br />and Stanley Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 27, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the negative declaration for <br />Case GP-87-3 after considering all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that General and Limited <br />Industrial is consistent with goals and policies of the <br />General Plan of the City of Pleasanton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends redesignation of the property to General <br />and Limited Industrial with the understanding that the <br />property be developed with a low traffic generating use <br />and with a condition that the existing P G & E power <br />lines be relocated to the utility easement on the <br />eastern side of the 4.2 acre parcel. The accompanying <br />rezoning (RZ-87-3) recommends specific uses and <br />conditions which could be attached to a PUD zoning <br />district for the property. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and Adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 27TH DAY OF MAY 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Mahern, and Vice Chairman <br />Michelotti <br />NOES: Commissioner Tarver <br />ABSENT: Chairman Lindsey and Commissioner Hoyt <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: May 27, 1987 <br />- 1 - <br />
