PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-58 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-87-3, PUBLIC STORAGE, INC./SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc./ Southern Pacific Transportation Company has applied to amend the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan from "Public Health and Safety" to "General and Limited Industrial" for a 1.47 and 4.2 acre site located at the northwest and northeast corners of the intersection of Valley Avenue (extension) and Stanley Boulevard; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 27, 1987, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the negative declaration for Case GP-87-3 after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that General and Limited Industrial is consistent with goals and policies of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Recommends redesignation of the property to General and Limited Industrial with the understanding that the property be developed with a low traffic generating use and with a condition that the existing P G & E power lines be relocated to the utility easement on the eastern side of the 4.2 acre parcel. The accompanying rezoning (RZ-87-3) recommends specific uses and conditions which could be attached to a PUD zoning district for the property. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and Adoption.
