PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-87-66 <br />RESOLUTION DELEGATING THE AUTHORITY TO THE ZONING <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO GRANT VARIANCES <br />WHEREAS, following requests by some 53 Val Vista homeowners who <br />received notices to remove boats, camper shells and/or <br />trailers from their front yard setbacks, the City <br />Council at their meeting of June 2, 1987 chose to review <br />possible changes in the City's regulations concerning <br />storage of such vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, after considering all public testimony, relevant <br />exhibits and recommendations of the City staff, the City <br />Council chose to leave the existing ordinance <br />essentially unchanged; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council suggested staff process variance <br />applications concerning parking of such vehicles <br />administratively; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Municipal Code allows the Board of Adjustment <br />to delegate to the Zoning Administrator review of <br />certain variances; and <br />WHEREAS, acting as the Board of Adjustment, the Planning <br />Commission considered the request of the City Council at <br />their duly noticed public hearing of June 10, 1987. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Delegates the Zoning Administrator the authority to <br />grant variances for parking of boats, trailers and/or <br />camper shells in residential districts when required <br />findings are made. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and Adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 10TH DAY OF JUNE 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Mahern, Michelotti, Tarver, and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Berger <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: June 10, 1987 <br />- 1 - <br />
