PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-75 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-87-4, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, at their meeting of June 2, 1987, the City Council considered amending the City ordinance which regulates the parking of boats, trailers and camper shells on residential property; and WHEREAS, as a result of the June 2, 1987 meeting, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend provisions of the Municipal Code relating to the screening of boats, trailers and similar vehicles in residential areas; WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 24, 1987, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the CIty staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, the proposed ordinance amendment would allow 6 ft. high fences to be constructed in the front yard areas as close to the street as the part of the house closest to the street. Therefore, residents of houses which are not set back the full 23 ft. from the property line could construct a fence that is flush with the front of their house and store boats, trailers and camper shells behind such a fence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recommends adoption of the draft ordinance amending Section 18.84.080 of the Municipal Code attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
