ATTACHMENT 5 <br />MINUTES <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR <br />Pleasanton, California <br />2632 Ingrid Court, Pleasanton, CA <br />Tuesday, January 22, 2008 <br />1:30 p.m. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 1:35 p.m. by Donna Decker, Zoning Administrator. <br />Present: Donna Decker, Zoning Administrator; Steve Otto, Associate Planner; <br />Aman and Tee Bawa, Applicants; Frank Nguyen, neighbor at 815 Clara Lane; <br />Xin Chen, neighbor at 2618 Ingrid Court; Steve Fineberg, neighbor at 829 Clara <br />Lane; Tami Santiago, Vineyard Hills Homeowners Association representative; and <br />Joshua D. Brysk, Attorney-At-Law. <br />PUD-99-9-2M/PADR-1762 <br />Applications for: 1) a minor modification to an approved Planned Unit Development <br />(PUD-99-9) to allow additional grading and retaining walls along the rear and side yard slope <br />banks of the property located at 2632 Ingrid Court and to allow the relocation of <br />two developer-installed trees along the rear yard slope bank of this property; and 2) <br />administration design review approval to construct an approximately 700-square-foot, <br />detached second unit with an approximately 250-square-foot covered porch at 2632 Ingrid <br />Court. <br />Ms. Decker explained the hearing and appeal process. <br />Ms. Decker introduced Steve Otto, Associate Planner, who presented the project listed above. <br />Mr. Otto provided an overview of the project and explained the changes made to the original project <br />to try to address the concerns of the neighbors. <br />Mr. Bawa stated how he has tried to place the second unit in the best possible place for the least <br />amount of impact to neighbors. He noted the significant compromises made throughout the process <br />that started in 2006. He stated he listened to the architectural committee and the neighbors to meet <br />their requirements. <br />Mr. Bawa explained their need for the second unit to be used as both a pool house and guest house. <br />It would also allow for extra space for therapy sessions for his son who has cerebral palsy, and <br />therapy equipment. It would also be used as a place for grandparents to stay when they help out <br />with his son's appointments and therapy.
