Brysk, Attorney-At-Law.
PUD-99-9-2M/PADR-1762
Applications for: 1) a minor modification to an approved Planned Unit Development
(PUD-99-9) to allow additional grading and retaining walls along the rear and side yard slope
banks of the property located at 2632 Ingrid Court and to allow the relocation of
two developer-installed trees along the rear yard slope bank of this property; and 2)
administration design review approval to construct an approximately 700-square-foot,
detached second unit with an approximately 250-square-foot covered porch at 2632 Ingrid
Court.
Ms. Decker explained the hearing and appeal process.
Ms. Decker introduced Steve Otto, Associate Planner, who presented the project listed above.
Mr. Otto provided an overview of the project and explained the changes made to the original project
to try to address the concerns of the neighbors.
Mr. Bawa stated how he has tried to place the second unit in the best possible place for the least
amount of impact to neighbors. He noted the significant compromises made throughout the process
that started in 2006. He stated he listened to the architectural committee and the neighbors to meet
their requirements.
Mr. Bawa explained their need for the second unit to be used as both a pool house and guest house.
It would also allow for extra space for therapy sessions for his son who has cerebral palsy, and
therapy equipment. It would also be used as a place for grandparents to stay when they help out
with his son's appointments and therapy. He mentioned that his mother may live there in the future.
Mr. Bawa explained the timeline that the project has gone through.
Minutes: PUD-99-9-2M/PADR-1762 Page 1 January 22, 2008
