Program Description ATTACHMENT 10 page 1 of 2 Tri-Valley Martial Arts Center in Pleasanton, California has brought the nationally recognized A+ After School Success Program to the Tri-Valley Area. The Problem: Parents have long complained about the bad habits their children are learning at day caze, but they had little choice. The Solution: Now parents can send their children to the A+ program as an alternative to day caze. Martial arts training emphasizes discipline and self-control, along with the physical activities, which develop self-confidence and self-defense skills. The children's role models aze the instructors and older, higher ranking students, so any peer pressure they encounter encourages them to behave better, not worse. Our program conditions your child for success. The A+ Program is a nationally recognized program designed by educators that incorporates chazacter- development exercises and fun activities as pazt of the martial arts curriculum. They also have a unique program to help bring the behaviors from the classroom into the home. After as little as one week in the program, pazents begin to see positives changes in their children. One of the best aspects of the A+ program is that transportation is provided from the academic school to the martial azts school, all for about the same cost as a day care program. Pazents can conveniently pick-up their children at the martial arts school after work, knowing that their children aze safe. The A+ Program represents a departure from traditional day care instead of organized baby-sitting; it is a specific skill program that supplements the child's education with self-improvement lessons and activities.
