My name is Darin Flukey and my daughter Sydney attends John Pfunds After School Success program. She has been enrolled since September, and absolutely loves it. As a parent, I understand and appreciate the program. John not only picks her up from school, he also gives her time to do her homework, and teaches her Martial Arts. I know that he is not a daycare. In fact 1 signed a piece of paper saying so. My daughter hated daycare, and she loves what John has to offer. I understand that there are some issues that have caused the city to shut down the A+ Transported After School Success Academy. This is very disturbing to me based on the fact that my 5 year old daughter needs someplace to go after school that doesn't just have you sit at a table and color. She needs a challenge. She needs to be active. She needs the After School Success Academy. Go by the Academy and see for yourself. If you have or had kids, you would want them in this program. You have no idea what John and his program has done for my shy, and timid 5 year old.. Her kindergarten teacher even made a comment on how Sydney is interacting more in class. John is teaching them confidence, respect, responsibility and honesty. I just can't say enough positive things about the program. John did ask me about parking, and if it was an issue. I pick my daughter up at 5:30 every day and have never had a parking problem. There are always plenty of spots in the parking lot as well as the street in front of the building. I hope you will reconsider closing down the Academy. It really is a great thing for kids. Respectfully urs, r ~~, Darin Flukey
