CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-60 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO TONY RANGEL <br /> CONSTRUCTION, FOR SIDEWALK REPAIR ON VARIOUS CITY <br /> STREETS, PROJECT NO. 86-09 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for sidewalk <br /> repair on various City streets, Project No. 86-09; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on February 18, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Tony Rangel Construction, in the amount of <br /> $65,192.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Tony Rangel Construction be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Tony Rangel Construction, in the amount of <br /> $65,192.00, for sidewalk repair on various City streets, <br /> Project No. 86-09, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: Staff is directed to expand the contract to include <br /> other needed sidewalk repair work to a maximum of the <br /> budgeted amount of $75,000.00. <br /> <br />Section 3: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Tony Rangel Construction for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
