CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 86-17 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PREPARATION OF <br /> PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE WEST LAS POSITAS <br /> BOULEVARD FROM SANTA RITA ROAD EASTWARD AND APPROVING <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF MTC TDA ARTICLE 3 MONIES TO FUND THE <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 1985, staff prepared a bicycle project <br /> to present before the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission (MTC) for consideration to obtain TDA Article <br /> 3 Funds and the engineering cost estimate was submitted <br /> to MTC for funding; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MTC TDA Article 3 Funding requires approval from the <br /> governing agency in order to establish full eligibility <br /> to receive the monies; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Authorizes and approves the preparation of plans and <br /> specifications for 12,000 feet of bike lanes and related <br /> facilities on West Las Positas Boulevard from Santa Rita <br /> Road east. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Approves the acceptance of MTC TDA Article 3 monies <br /> to fund the project. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 21, 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor <br /> Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> <br /> ABSTAIN: None . <br /> <br /> ATTEST: _ <br /> C BRA~DES, JR. ~AYOR <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> AAe~~t~~~.V~D AS TO FORM: <br /> ~'D.
