PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-78 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR GP-87-7, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Land Use <br />Element of the Genera]. Plan: 1) to limit the total <br />number of housing units which can be given Growth <br />Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per year; 2) <br />to establish a population benchmark not to exceed 62,000 <br />persons within the Pleasanton City limits by January 1, <br />1996; and 3) limit development within the San Francisco <br />Specific Plan area not to exceed 500 persons by the year <br />1996, exclusive of other permitted uses; or any other <br />amendments deemed in the public interest; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for GP-87-7; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held July 8, 1987, at <br />which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration for <br />Case GP-87-7 as herein described. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
