PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-78 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GP-87-7, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Land Use Element of the Genera]. Plan: 1) to limit the total number of housing units which can be given Growth Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per year; 2) to establish a population benchmark not to exceed 62,000 persons within the Pleasanton City limits by January 1, 1996; and 3) limit development within the San Francisco Specific Plan area not to exceed 500 persons by the year 1996, exclusive of other permitted uses; or any other amendments deemed in the public interest; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission received a proposed negative declaration for GP-87-7; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the recommendations of the staff; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held July 8, 1987, at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan amendment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment: NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration for Case GP-87-7 as herein described. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. - 1 -
