PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-80 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR RZ-87-5, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone the <br />approximately 152 acre TMI property located northeast of <br />the intersection of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue from <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Low Density Residential <br />to R-1-40,000 (Single-family Residential) District or to <br />any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan. The parcel is currently designated "Specific Plan <br />- Low Density Residential" on the General Plan and <br />requires a specific plan to be prepared prior to <br />development plan approval; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for RZ-87-5; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the <br />recommendations of they staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held July 8, 1987, at <br />which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />rezoning application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section l: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration for <br />Case RZ-87-5 as herein described. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
