PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-80 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR RZ-87-5, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone the approximately 152 acre TMI property located northeast of the intersection of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue from PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Low Density Residential to R-1-40,000 (Single-family Residential) District or to any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan. The parcel is currently designated "Specific Plan - Low Density Residential" on the General Plan and requires a specific plan to be prepared prior to development plan approval; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission received a proposed negative declaration for RZ-87-5; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the recommendations of they staff; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held July 8, 1987, at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed rezoning application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposal would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment: NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section l: Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration for Case RZ-87-5 as herein described. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. - 1 -
