PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTIONI N0. PC-87-83 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-87-6, APPLICATION OF THE CI7.'Y OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Growth Management Ordinance to eliminate extension of Growth Management approval beyond one year or any other amendment consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. Projects approved for construction within a given year must obtain building permits within one year of the date of approval or lose the approval; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission recommended approval of a proposed negative declaration for RZ-87-6 after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the recommendations of the staff; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the amendment to the Growth Management Ordinance is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Recommends approval of the Case RZ-87-6 (i) retaining the existing exemption for small projects (12 units); (ii) modify procedure for all other exempt projects to include evaluation with long-term agreement projects following Growth Management Report review; and (iii) require construction of all units approved within 18 months of time authorized to develop or GMP approval lapses, with custom lot developments having ability to establish a different time frame for development. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. - 1 -
