PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTIONI N0. PC-87-83 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-87-6, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CI7.'Y OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Growth <br />Management Ordinance to eliminate extension of Growth <br />Management approval beyond one year or any other <br />amendment consistent with the goals and policies of the <br />General Plan. Projects approved for construction within <br />a given year must obtain building permits within one <br />year of the date of approval or lose the approval; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of a proposed negative declaration <br />for RZ-87-6 after considering all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 26, 1987, and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the amendment to the <br />Growth Management Ordinance is consistent with the goals <br />and policies of the General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Recommends approval of the Case RZ-87-6 (i) retaining <br />the existing exemption for small projects (12 units); <br />(ii) modify procedure for all other exempt projects to <br />include evaluation with long-term agreement projects <br />following Growth Management Report review; and (iii) <br />require construction of all units approved within 18 <br />months of time authorized to develop or GMP approval <br />lapses, with custom lot developments having ability to <br />establish a different time frame for development. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
