PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-87-84 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR RZ-87-6 AND PUD-87-15, APPLICATIONS OF <br />PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied to <br />amend the Land Use Element designation of the General <br />Plan for an approximately 12.4 acre site from <br />Industrial/Commercial and offices to High Density <br />Residential, located generally in the area bounded by <br />West Las Positas Boulevard, Tassajara Creek, and the <br />Arroyo Mocho Canal; and <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied to <br />rezone an approximately 12.4 acre site from PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development) - Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br />District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - High <br />Density Residential District located generally in the <br />area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, Tassajara <br />Creek, and the Arroyo Mocho Canal, and to amend <br />provisions of an existing development agreement <br />affecting this site; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1987, the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for Case <br />GP-87-6 and PUD-87-15; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated June 18, 1987, and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held July 8, 1987, at <br />which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />General Plan amendment and rezoning applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposals would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment: <br />- 1 - <br />
