Earth Team Environmental Network, The Can-Do-Crew, Berkeley, West County - $22,000.00 The Can-Do-Crew will train 12 teenagers in how to create engaging and informative videos on the topic of recycling. Following the training, The Can-Do-Crew will film 8 short monthly television segments about recycling Oakland Asian Students Educational Services (OASES), Oakland, West County - $20,000.00 for the OASES Fabulous 4R's workshop, this will empower 215 youth and 100 parents in 2007-2009 to take action on the 4R's so they can encourage teachers, and peers to practice the 4R's East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, Oakland, West County - $50,000.00 with a goal to ensure that Alameda County educators continue to have access to local reuse center that offers low-cost supplies, materials and resources for educators and to aid in the ecological "green" renovation of the new store, and to also ensure that the new location is educator friendly A total of $228,025.00 was awarded from the project grant total funding allocation of $230,000. Board Initiated Projects There were no Board Initiated Projects during the 2007-2008 grant cycle. ALARM Mitigation Projects Pursuant to the terms of the settlement agreement, the 2007 Expenditure Plan allocated $10,000 for mitigation projects for landowners in the vicinity of the landfill. The Education Advisory Board corresponded with ALARM (Altamont Landowners Against Rural Mismanagement) to notify them of the available funding. No applications were submitted for consideration during the 2007 funding cycle.
