Resolution No. PC-87-114 <br />October 28, 1987 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves Case UP-87-43, application of Susan Krupke <br />for a conditional use permit to raise limited poultry <br />and rabbits at her residence located at 1564 Foothill <br />Road subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the site be maintained in a clean and sanitary <br />condition. <br />2. That the project be limited to a maximum of 15 <br />adult chickens, greater than four months old and a <br />maximum of four rabbits. <br />3. That no rooster, other than the rooster now known <br />as McGyver, be permitted at the site. <br />4. That the animals present on the site shall be <br />solely the property of the residents of the site, <br />and that no boarding of animals shall be permitted. <br />5. That Animal Services shall be allowed to inspect <br />the site at any time, unannounced. <br />6. That if the site is discovered by Animal Services <br />to be in an unhealthy condition the Planning <br />Director, after conferring with Animal Services, <br />may terminate this permit. <br />7. That no composting of animal manure be permitted on <br />the site. <br />8. That the manure and shavings beneath and roost <br />shall be removed daily, the pen area shall be <br />cleaned weekly, and that all litter shall be stored <br />in a fly-tight container until disposed of by <br />weekly trash pick-up. <br />9. That at such time in the future that the Krupkes <br />cease raising poultry/rabbits or move from the <br />subject site, all chicken coops shall be removed. <br />10. That the existing chicken coops shall not be <br />expanded in size. <br />11. That all rabbits shall continue to be kept within <br />the existing shed. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after <br />its passage and adoption. <br />- 2 - <br />
