PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-87-132 <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING MAIN STREET/BERNAL AVENUE <br />INTERSECTION <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission asked staff to bring before it a <br />report discussing the reasons for the intersection <br />design at Bernal Aventte and Main Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the traffic study done in connection with the adoption <br />of the General Plan assumed the Main Street/Bernal <br />Avenue intersection as currently being constructed. So, <br />too, did the traffic study prepared for the Downtown <br />Specific Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, this report, public testimony, relevant exhibits and <br />recommendations of the City staff were considered by the <br />Planning Commission at their duly noticed public hearing <br />of December 9, 1987. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the intersection be modified to allow <br />all movements at an unsignalized intersection (stop sign <br />on southbound Main Street only). <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON AT THE MEETING OF DECEMBER 9, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Michelotti, Tarver and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: December 9, 1987 <br />ATTEST <br />~/~ <br />Brian W.
