PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-87-28 <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM - <br />1987-88 THROUGH 1989-90 <br />WHEREAS, one of the duties of the Planning Commission is to <br />investigate and make recommendations to the City Council <br />regarding means for implementing the General Plan so <br />that it will serve as an effective guide for the <br />efficient expenditure of public funds relating to the <br />subjects addressed in the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 11, 1987 <br />the Planning Commission considered all relevant ,exhibits <br />and recommendations of the City staff concerning the <br />proposed Capital Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the draft Capital <br />Improvement Program as a whole and as individual <br />projects, is consistent with the General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. recommends funding those projects identified in the <br />draft program, with priority to the following: <br />Street Projects <br />1. Continuation of traffic signal interconnect system; <br />2. reconstruction of St. Mary Street and portions of <br />Pleasanton Avenue; <br />3. improvements at Amador High School on Santa Rita <br />Road; <br />4. widening Hopyard Road, Valley to Black; <br />5. street frontage improvements in front of the <br />proposed City-sponsored senior housing project; <br />6. traffic signal at Del Valle Parkway and Main <br />Street; and <br />7. bicycle lane on portions of Foothill Road and <br />Bernal Avenue <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
