AMENDMENT NO. 2 CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL AUTHORIZATION OF SERVICES FOR ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES FOR THE NPID FREEWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT 1. Purpose: The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to recognize and accept work performed by the CONSULTANT outside the original project scope and to authorize and direct the CONSULTANT to proceed with additional work, both as specified in Item 2 of this AMENDMENT, in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT between the parties hereto dated July 2, 1985. 2. Scope of Work: The work authorized by this AMENDMENT is described in the "Scope of Services" attached hereto as Exhibit 2-A. 3. Time of Performance: The work in Exhibit 2-A, described in Tasks 2-1.1 through 2-1.8 has been performed by the CONSULTANT in the course of overall project work between October 1985 and January 1987. The schedule for Tasks 2-2.1 and 2-2.2 shall be from February 1987 through September 1987. It is recognized by both parties to this AMEND- MENT that this schedule is dependent on actions by others (most notably Caltrans and FHWA) and may require adjustment by separate amendment to conform to changes beyond control of the CITY and CONSULTANT. 4. Compensation and Payment: Compensation for CONSULTANT's services authorized by this AMENDMENT shall be on a Labor and Expense basis as provided in Article 2 of the AGREEMENT. The cost ceiling for the work in Tasks 2-1.1 through 2-1.8 shall be $155,600. The cost ceiling for the work in Tasks 2-2.1 and 2-2.2 shall be $55,000. The latter amount shall be subject to change by separate amendment if the Scope of Services or Time of Performance requires ad- justment to conform to the requirements of Caltrans, FHWA, or other agencies beyond control of the CITY and CONSULTANT. Data supporting the fee estimate are at- tached as Exhibit 2-B. Payment shall be in accordance with Article 2 of the AGREEMENT. -1-
